Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Zoomy is an on-demand moving and delivery marketplace that connects customers with independent providers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Zoomy customer app, the Zoomy Driver app, and this website.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and contact details. Your name, email address, and phone number. We verify your phone with a one-time SMS code when you sign in.
  • Job details. The pickup and drop-off addresses you enter and the items you describe for a move or delivery.
  • Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe and are never stored on Zoomy servers.
  • Photos. Item photos you add, and proof-of-work photos your provider captures at pickup and drop-off.
  • Provider verification (drivers only). To offer work on Zoomy, providers complete identity verification — which can include a government ID and related screening details — handled by our verification and screening partners, and connect a bank account for payouts through Stripe Connect.
  • Location. The Zoomy Driver app collects precise location only in the foreground while a job is active, to provide navigation and confirm arrival at a stop. The Zoomy customer app does not collect your device location.
  • Diagnostics. Crash and performance data, through Sentry, to keep the apps stable.
  • Product analytics. Anonymous usage analytics, through PostHog. We do not build personal profiles, and identifying fields are stripped before analytics are recorded.
  • Device identifiers. A push-notification token so we can send job updates, and an anonymous analytics identifier.

2. How we use your information

  • Match a job with an available provider and coordinate the pickup and drop-off.
  • Process payments and pay providers.
  • Verify provider identity and eligibility to work.
  • Keep the service safe, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
  • Send job updates and receipts, and provide support.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only in these ways:

  • With the people completing the job. Your assigned crew and the customer see the details needed to carry it out — name, phone number, the pickup and drop-off addresses, item photos, and, during an active job, the provider's live location.
  • With service providers acting for us. Stripe (payments and payouts), our identity-verification and screening partners (for drivers), Twilio (SMS codes), Resend (email delivery), and Sentry (diagnostics).
  • When required. To comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the safety of users and the public.

We do not sell your personal data. Zoomy shows no third-party advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information while your account is active. Some records — such as financial, tax, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, and audit records — are retained for as long as the law or a legitimate obligation requires, and may remain after you delete your account, no longer linked to you by phone number where possible.

5. Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can request deletion in the app under Account settings, or on the web using the delete-account page. For any other privacy request, reach us through Zoomy support.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, along with access controls, to protect your data. Card data is handled directly by Stripe and is never stored on Zoomy servers.

7. Children

Zoomy is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use the service.

8. Changes to this policy

We will let you know about material changes by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
