Delete or deactivate your Zoomy Driver account
This page is for Zoomy Driver and Helper accounts (the Zoomy Driver app). If you use Zoomy to book moves or deliveries as a customer, use the customer delete-account page instead.
What you can request today
You can request deactivation of your Driver account. Deactivation closes your ability to work on Zoomy and removes your active access, but it is not a full erasure of your identity: as a provider who has been paid and vetted, Zoomy is required to keep specified records after your account is deactivated (see below).
Full deletion of a Driver identity beyond the retained records described here is handled case by case, because it interacts with legal, financial, and safety obligations that apply to people who have performed paid work. To ask about erasing data that is not legally required to be retained, contact Zoomy support.
What deactivation does
- Your active Driver sign-ins are revoked and you are signed out on every device.
- Push-notification routing for your Driver account is deleted.
- You are set offline and stop receiving job offers.
What is retained, and why
After deactivation, Zoomy retains the following for as long as the law or a legitimate financial, tax, or safety obligation requires:
- Payout and earnings records, and other financial and tax records.
- Provider verification and background-check (vetting) records.
- Trip and job history, safety findings, and dispute records.
- Audit records of account and compliance activity.
- The core identity Zoomy uses to recognize you across those retained records, so the records stay accurate and cannot be silently detached.
These categories are the same ones described in section 4 of the privacy policy. Records are kept no longer than the applicable obligation requires.
How to request deactivation
Deactivation is confirmed from inside the Zoomy Driver app, where you are signed in:
- Open the Zoomy Driver app and go to your Account.
- Finish or resolve any active job first. You cannot deactivate while a job is in progress.
- Choose Deactivate account. For your security you may be asked to verify your phone again before continuing.
- Type DEACTIVATE to confirm. Zoomy then revokes your sessions, removes push routing, and takes you offline.
The confirmation happens over a secure, authenticated request from the app to Zoomy’s backend; it cannot be completed from a web browser because it requires a signed-in Driver session.
Reactivation
A deactivated Driver account is not reopened automatically. Restoring access requires a fresh phone and identity check and human review by Zoomy; revoked sessions stay revoked. Contact Zoomy support to start that review.
If you can’t open the app
If you have lost access to the Zoomy Driver app and cannot reach the account screen, you can still ask Zoomy to deactivate your Driver account or to answer a data-privacy request. Go to Zoomy support and use the Driver help path. Do not include passwords, verification codes, card numbers, or identity documents in a support request.
