Driver Terms
These terms apply to people who use the Zoomy Driver app to offer work as a Driver or Helper. They add to the Zoomy Terms of Service, which also apply to you. Where the two differ about Driver work, these Driver Terms apply.

1. Acceptance
By continuing in the Zoomy Driver app you agree to the Zoomy Driver Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Driver app.
2. Your relationship with Zoomy
Zoomy is a technology marketplace that connects customers with independent providers. Zoomy is not a moving company or carrier and does not perform the work itself.
As a Driver or Helper you are an independent contractor, not a Zoomy employee.
- You decide when you go online. There are no shifts and no minimum hours.
- You choose which jobs to request.
- A Driver brings and operates their own vehicle. A Helper does not need a vehicle.
3. Eligibility and screening
To apply you must:
- be 18 or older;
- give your legal name (matching your ID), date of birth and home address;
- verify your phone number;
- complete identity verification through our identity-verification partner;
- set up payouts with Stripe (section 8).
Roles. You apply as a Driver, a Helper, or both. Applying is a request, not an approval. Zoomy approves each role separately.
Vehicles (Drivers). You give your vehicle's make, model, year, colour, licence plate and registration state. Accepted vehicle types are car, sedan, SUV, pickup truck, cargo van, Sprinter van and box truck. The vehicle's model year must be within the last 20 years. Which vehicle types can take a job depends on the service.
Documents (Drivers). You upload your driver licence, vehicle registration and proof of insurance. You must keep your insurance current. If it expires, you cannot take Driver work until it is renewed. A document is not approved until it has been reviewed.
Background and driving record checks. With your consent, Zoomy may send your legal name, date of birth, home address and verified identity to a screening service for a background check. For Driver roles this may also include a motor vehicle record check. You are shown the disclosure and asked to authorize it in the app first. Screening does not by itself approve your application. Results can stay pending or need follow-up.
Screening cost. A one-time screening cost may apply for your market. The amount is shown in the app before you consent and pay. It is paid up front by card through Stripe. It is not taken from your earnings. If you later add a Driver role to a Helper approval, there is no second background-check payment.
Approval is separate at every step. Saving a vehicle, uploading a document, finishing training or submitting an application does not approve you for work. Zoomy does not guarantee jobs or earnings.
4. Requesting and doing jobs
Going online. You must be online to request jobs. Precise location is required to go online and receive nearby work (section 6).
Requesting a job. You request a job in a specific role, at the pay shown for that role. Requesting is not assignment. Zoomy confirms your assignment separately. You must finish payout setup before you can accept paid work.
Before you travel. Exact addresses and private access details stay hidden until Zoomy authorizes travel. Contact with the customer goes through Zoomy.
If an offer is withdrawn. If an offer is withdrawn before you are assigned, nothing was requested for you and nothing is held against you.
Changes on site. You may not quote a price to a customer or charge a customer directly. If the job is different from what was booked, report the change in the app. Zoomy asks the customer. Until the customer approves, keep going with what is already agreed and leave anything extra where it is. If the customer does not approve, your pay and the job are unchanged.
Unsafe or prohibited items. Do not carry items that are unlawful, hazardous or prohibited. Report them in the app.
Junk removal disposal. For junk removal jobs, approved disposal (dump) fees are reimbursed separately from your earnings, based on your receipt.
5. Proof-of-work photos
Each job has proof-of-work requirements set by Zoomy for that job. Proof can be photos or video, and can be required at pickup, during the job, at drop-off and before the job is finished. For example:
- pre-existing damage, before you move or load anything;
- how items were loaded and protected;
- the condition of items at drop-off;
- for junk removal, proof of disposal.
Proof is captured with the camera in the app. A job cannot be completed until its required proof is in. Uploading proof does not mean it has been accepted. Acceptance is confirmed separately.
Proof-of-work photos are shown to the customer and kept with the job. They may be used to review support cases and claims.
6. Location
- When you change availability. The app sends your precise location when you go online or change availability, so Zoomy can match you with nearby work. This location is not shown to customers.
- During a job. With your permission for that job, Zoomy shares your precise location with the assigned customer while you work, including when the app is in the background. Sharing ends when the job or assignment ends, when you sign out, or when you stop it in the active job.
- Support reports. You can choose to attach your location to a support report.
Apart from a location you choose to attach to a support report, your location is used only while you are online or on a job.
7. Cancellations, no-shows and exceptions
Leaving a job. If you cannot do a job after you are assigned, request to leave the assignment in the app before work starts and give a reason (availability, vehicle, equipment, personal or other). Once a job is in progress you cannot leave it in the app. Contact support.
If the customer is not there. If the customer is late, does not answer, or you cannot get access, report it in the app with a record of what you found. Reporting a no-show does not by itself change your pay or assignment. Zoomy decides and confirms that separately.
If a job changes or cannot be finished. Report it in the app (for example: not safe to start, started but cannot finish, only part of the work could be done, a crew member did not turn up). Zoomy decides pay for a job that changed. When there is an answer it appears in Earnings with its reason.
If the customer cancels. If a customer cancels, your assignment is released and you are notified.
8. Payouts
Stripe Connect. Zoomy pays you through Stripe. You set up a Stripe Connect Express account once, on Stripe's secure page. Your bank and tax details are collected and held by Stripe. Zoomy never sees your full bank or tax details.
Setup before paid work. You must complete payout setup before you can accept paid jobs. If Stripe needs more information or disables your payout account, payouts pause and new paid work is held until it is fixed. Completed jobs are still recorded.
What you earn. Your pay for a job is the amount shown for your role when you request it. Earnings are recorded when your role on a job is completed with all required proof. The Earnings tab shows a record of each job's earnings and whether a transfer receipt has been issued.
Tips. Tipping is not currently available in Zoomy.
9. Ratings, quality and account restrictions
Customers can rate a job from 1 to 5 once it is completed.
Zoomy can restrict or deactivate a Driver account, including for safety or fraud reasons. While an account is restricted you cannot take work.
If your account is deactivated, you can request a human review. Reactivation is not automatic and approval is not guaranteed. If approved, you sign in again and complete a fresh phone and identity check.
10. Safety and conduct
- If someone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first. Zoomy cannot send an ambulance, police or fire.
- Report safety concerns in the app. A report is not a finding of fault.
- Do not harass, threaten or discriminate against customers or other providers.
- Give true information when you apply and during jobs.
- Do not try to get around pricing, fees or identity verification, and do not arrange extra work or payment with a customer outside Zoomy.
11. Data and analytics
The Privacy Policy explains what Zoomy collects and why. In the Driver app:
- Usage analytics. The Driver app collects usage analytics. App versions released from October 2026 start analytics only after you accept these terms in the app, and let you turn off "Share usage analytics" at any time in Account, under Privacy & data. Crash reports are separate.
- Screen recordings. The Driver app does not record your screen.
12. Deactivating or deleting your account
You can deactivate your Driver account in the app: Account, then "Sign out or deactivate". Finish or resolve any active job first. For your security you may be asked to verify your phone again. You type DEACTIVATE to confirm.
Deactivation revokes your sign-ins on every device, removes push notifications for your Driver account, and takes you offline. It is not the same as signing out, and it is not a full erasure.
After deactivation Zoomy keeps payout, earnings, financial and tax records; verification and screening records; trip and job history, safety findings and dispute records; and audit records, for as long as the law or a legitimate financial, tax or safety obligation requires. Customer access on a shared identity is not deleted.
To ask about erasing data that Zoomy is not required to keep, or if you cannot open the app, contact Zoomy support. See the Driver delete-account page for details.
13. Liability, governing law, changes and contact
The limitation of liability, governing law (State of Delaware, USA), changes and contact sections of the Zoomy Terms of Service apply to these Driver Terms.
